I was born on July 8, 1956 and raised in a reformed Jewish home in Newton, Massachusetts. The events and social upheaval of the 60’s and 70’s prompted me to search for the root causes of the turmoil and conflict so evident in human relations. My professors in college blamed unjust social structures for the problems mankind faced. But after 3 years of study and a political internship in a senatorial office in Washington D.C., I came to the realization that the fault was not rooted in human society but in the human hearts that made up those unjust and fragmented societies. This led me to realize our problems were, at the root, spiritual not social. Having been challenged years earlier to consider the Messianic claims of Jesus, I studied Old Testament prophecy and the New Testament’s claim to fulfillment and became convinced Jesus of Nazareth was the long promised Jewish Messiah and the Savior of the world. After a year as a secret believer, Jesus began to reveal himself and call me to full-time vocational Christian ministry. In the Fall of 1982 I began my formal theological studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, graduating in 1985 with a Master of Divinity and in 1986 with a Master of Theology. I then served 4 ½ years as the Pastor of the Evangelical Free Church in Woodstock, CT and for the last 16 years as the Senior Pastor of Beacon Hill Evangelical Free Church here in Monroe. My lovely wife Michelle, our 3 boys and I live in Monroe. Michelle is a middle school teacher in a nearby public school system. My passion is to see the completion of Jesus’ Great Commission to make disciples of people from every nation, tongue and tribe. My great joy is to see people come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord and then to grow and mature in their faith. I want people to realize their full potential as followers of the Messiah Jesus by the use of their God given gifts and abilities for His Kingdom purposes. I believe every believer is called to ministry and see my role as one who facilitates, equips, and assists others in fulfilling God’s call for their lives. click [here] to correspond via email |
